What To Expect After You Order Your Photo Box:
1) Order Confirmation & Photokive Concierge

Once you place your order, the Photokive Concierge team will reach out to you with a phone call. On this initial call, the concierge will offer support information and photo box organizing tips. You can specify your preferred communication frequency and method, including phone, email, or no contact.

2) Photokive Intake at the Digitizing Center
After you mail your box, it travels to the Photokive digitizing center. Upon arrival, the team carefully checks in your box and logs its contents. This intake process is thorough and a crucial step in ensuring the quality of your images during digitization.
Your box is then ready for the next phase: professional photography and editing.
3) Professional Photography and Editing

Photokive's "album-first" approach to digitizing involves experts carefully photographing each print and album page. This process captures high-resolution digital images that maintain the detail and color of your originals.
After photography, the editing team enhances the images. They adjust lighting, remove glare, and correct colors to ensure your digital images look their best. In many cases, they look better than the originals. This step transforms your physical photo albums and scrapbooks into stunning digital versions.
4) Invoice Creation for Extra Photos
If your box contains more photos than your package covers, Photokive will create an invoice for the additional images. You’ll receive the invoice after once digitizing and editing is complete, so the total reflects the final count. Overages are fairly common, since most people are not able to get an exact count of all the photos in their albums. If your box does not contain extra photos, you'll move directly to the next step - cloud account access.
Bear in mind, you will need to pay the invoice before you can receive access to your digital files.
5) Cloud Access to Digital Images

Once you pay any invoice, your digital images are uploaded to your Photokive cloud account. You get 90 days of free access to this secure online space where you can view, download, and share your photos.
This cloud storage window gives you plenty of time to decide how to save and share your digitized family photos. You can also expect proper folder organization to avoid mass sorting.
6) Photo Box Return Shipping
After your photos are digitized and uploaded, your box moves into the "Ready To Return" queue. Box return typically takes about two weeks depending on your location and time of year. This is when you can expect your original photo albums and prints to make their way back to you.
7) How To Receive Your USB (Optional)
This USB serves as an additional backup for your digital images; a smart choice for extra security and convenience. You can use this The USB provides offline access to your digitized photo albums.
